Believe it or not, these Nashville, TN family portraits were taken in the Engelhardt’s backyard! They had the most gorgeous tree-line full of autumn leaves. Crazy enough, the trees were all yellow and made a breath-taking backdrop for our photo shoot! Autumn is such a great time for family pictures because the trees are dressed in warm colors and your family can be dressed in warm, snuggley clothing too! The park is full of lovely scenery, ponds thriving with wildlife, and a beautiful creek in which we explored. For this fun Nashville family photo shoot, we had quite an adventure when we visited Deerwood Arboretum & Nature Center. The park is full of lovely scenery, ponds thriving with wildlife, and a beautiful creek in which we explored. We had the pleasure of seeing numerous butterflies, birds, frogs, dragonflies, and even a fawn. To be honest, I’m not sure if I enjoyed the real butterflies or the cute girl butterflies in our photo shoot more. Unfortunately, the Arledges lost their car keys by the end of the night, so we got to enjoy the stars and a little night photography with candles while waiting for a locksmith. Luckily, they found their keys when they returned to the park the next day. Enjoy these fun, silly, and cute Nashville family pictures!

Props, like chairs that are not typically seen outdoors, can be a lot of fun during an outdoors photo shoot. Most children love to play dress up and props can help them “get in character” to take fabulous photos!
